Three little African Penguins are strolling along the beach in Cape Town. Known as the Cape penguin or South African penguin, this species is identifiable by the distinctive pink patches of skin above its eyes and its black facial mask. These penguins are native to the coasts of South Africa and Namibia. Despite their once large numbers, the population of African penguins is now rapidly declining due to various threats. Boulders Beach in Simon's Town, located on the Cape Peninsula in South Africa, hosts one of the largest colonies of these penguins and attracts tourists who have the unique opportunity to swim with them.
